My dream if I ever hit one of those $650 million dollar poweball lotteries is to buy a 1000+ acre piece of land in Montana and build a compound packed to the gills with gongs, guns, and rottweilers.

Thanks for the heads up on KNURL. For Kevin Drumm, I really enjoy the tape he contributed to for 'Various Auras: A Bird’s-Eye View Into A Machiavellian World of Secrecy'. The LUSSURIA tape I initially posted here was part of that series.
There is cool Muffwiggler thread going on where people are posting their synth adaptations of SUNN O))) sound/amp worship. My favorite projects these days tend to be from random people on the internet. Sorry this is not pertinent to the instruments listed here (except the LUSSURIA tape most definitely is singing bowls/bells/and bowls as sound sources).

Has anyone ever tried a swell effect [like a slow gear] on bells and gongs? To take the initial strike sound out.
On recordings it's easy to do through editing but the idea of doing it in real time would be neatish..

I don't do it live, but i often leave off the attack on some of my bell or bowl hits by simply hitting record after the strike or just using distance from the mic to lessen it.
