Let's talk patch cables

Post by AlexGlassLungs »

I run a pretty big board, about 16 or so pedals. One of my biggest issues is patch cables. Either they sound like total shit or they cut out. I move things around a lot and sell stuff and replace it constantly so they do take a beating. I've tried F-Cables (solderless) and although they are super low profile and the cabling is slim they always end up crapping out. I've also tried George L's which seem to be most reliable but at the same time take up double or maybe triple the amount of space my F-Cables do. I've tried Lava solderless but those connections go out real quick or I just suck at making them. Recently I tried Lava soldered cables and within the first two days one died out and in the studio a bunch of them were making crackling noises when being moved around. I can't seem to win....
