Maybe it was a delayed reaction to Ibanez selling ripoffs of the Big Muff circuit in 1974, then again in 1982, then again in 1990, then again in 2016

I did say that, and they did.
It's not the Bubble Font/Black Russian sound, or another tweaked version like the BBM, BBM nano, and Deluxe Bass Big Muff. I compared it to a bunch of Civil War/Tall Font Sovteks in my collection, and this is THAT sound and tone pot range.
I have hated myself for years for selling my civil war muff. It was so killer and I've never really achieved that same sound with other stuff. I've had plenty of muff based modern pedals that sound great, but are all using that platform to do their own thing. But none have really captured that sound. I haven't been able to drop the cash to buy any of the nicer modern clones. But this what I needed to hear, and no better source to hear it from. I'll be getting one on my next paycheck for sure. $80 is a no brainer for that sound. And it looks pretty good too. Better than a lot of clones.

So my Green Russian showed up today. I A/B'd it against my Big Muff Nano on both of my amps and I can't really tell a difference. If it's there, it's very subtle. I think my ears are shot.
I Just got mine in today and I'm loving it so far. I've had a few green Russians, a bubble font, tym red mudd, arc big green, eau Claire thunder and this ones right up there with the best of em.

Spent the past hour fucking with these two and there's a definite difference. I'm just an idiot. Green Russian sounds bigger and smoother with more low end. Pretty stoked now.
