^ Isn't the core of that show's premise "hey we have Keefer Southerland, watch him be Ultimate American Patriot TM again"?

Just finished watching all the way through Oliver Stone's Untold American History & I want to leave this planet.
I left that documentary feeling super disillusioned even towards JFK, who had been championed as some social justice god & a leader with impeccable policy. Say what you will abt his domestic afffairs, but in his three years in office he used the CIA to perform international surveillance/assassination attempts/military support for right wing dictators just a few times less than Eisenhower did in his entire 8-year term (over 170 iirc).
To think we could've had Henry Wallace instead of that shitheel Harry Truman... I think that debauchery at the Democratic Convention of 1944 (where the presiding officers handed the VP position to Truman instead of the people's choice, Wallace) really was what set us on the course that we're on now. We went from a real leftist in FDR (though his pragatism allowed him to [rightfully] adopt a few right wing policies) to a dumber-than-dirt, centrist yes-man at the head of the democratic party & haven't had any real break in that mold for democratic party leadership since then.

More like, "hey, let's all watch Reefer Notquitesosouthernland look like a little bitch as often as possible" with a lot of poorly written suspense surrounding the functioning of the government and some secret coup/evil plot to destroy 'Merica.
Most of it is just intended to make you say, "fuck everyone at every level of government."

Halfway through S03E02 of Narcos, so far so good, I kinda miss Pablo though. That portrayal was gold.

Expanse season 2 is finally coming up, 'found' a way to watch it but I would happily give the series another go.

Keen to start Expanse S2 after defenders.
Does it roll straight on from S1's relentless building?

I remember it to be pretty rad, all the main crew has a great chemistry. Though there's some new characters that feel pretty wooden and their costuming looks like they're wearing Mass Effect cosplay - not really in the best way.

I generally don't like TV Sci-Fi shows except for the usual big ones, but every one on it tends to show that they care about being in this one so :idk:

Damn.
Yeah I really liked the casting in S1.
It was a little more Red Faction in S1, but I can see how theyd wax Mass Effect quite easily.
I did enjoy space Yardie white people and 80s communist synth pop Martians.

Oo definitely want to watch s2 I forgot I was even waiting for it!
My roommate and I started watching the OA recently, 3 episodes in and we're really enjoying it. I like how it feels different from most things and I don't necessarily know where it's going.
