These were made with desktop synth users in mind, so the Cimmerian doesn't feature a stomp switch. The Lab is pretty smooth thanks to the onboard filtering. It's not harsh like a lot of oscillator boxes on the market.

For me this really gets going shortly after 3:58 when both delays are engaged. Earlier in the video you hear 1-2 effects at a time, but here there's at least 3 parts engaged (delay/delay/modulation). Around 7mins it gets gritty and lo-fi.
i just found out about the LAB:1 today and really am interested in it. Is there anything that is similar in sound and build/format by any other makers? it seems like these are sold out and and it will be quite a while before the next batch is presented from what i read on the site.
if i saw the photo right for the Cimmerian Caves, it has one input (i think stereo because of the two outputs labeled left and right). the Lab:1 has a single output i think?
Is there anything else for table top that is like this?
For something less expensive, there's still a few people building completed versions of the late Ray Wilson's WSG. (they're DIY and all the schems, BOM info is online)
Also, Eric Archer is bringing the Drone Commander back. DC + EHX Ravish = unmade Kubrick film soundtrack, DC + tremolo and/or delay = space out all evening
