Looking for a midi controller that has key that feel good, not cheap. Does anyone make a 25 or 37 key semi-weighed controller?

You haven't specified price range or what connections you need, but Novation Remote 25 SL and Native Instruments Komplete Kontrol S25 have semi-weighted keys. They really oughta make more 37-key controllers. The Akai Miniak has 37 semi-weighted keys. It's an actual synth tho, but should be cheaper than both of the aforementioned options. You don't get as many knobs, but it does have 3 modulation/pitch wheels.

I use a moog subphatty requires a bit of mapping but its extremely solid and very well built. It has a vst that lets you completely control it via the daw. Works great as a controller -all the knobs etc are midi cc, the keyboard is velocity but no aftertouch. I got tired of cheap, easy to break stuff, it feels much better than 90% of controllers and its also is a mono synth that you can run guitar into for filter and drive. Not cheap usually about $600 used. I bought it new off amazon for $730. No regrets.

I've wanted a subphatty and they can be had around here for $450-500 but I don't think I want to pick one up solely for that reason.

Regarding Actualidiot's question about price range: I'd say like $100 or so used.

100$ is cheap, so you'll get a controller that feels cheap.
