Probably not the best way to pitch it. I'd call it an homage to cheesy 80's horror B-movies.

Yeah, I like your description much better.

I think watching all four seasons of DEGRASSI: NEXT CLASS in 30 hours is one of the strangest things I have done in my late twenties...

Watching The Lobster on Amazon.
It's like a long Black Mirror episode.

I've been kind of interested in watching the Lobster, but this is the first thing that actually got me a little excited for it

One thing, though, it's a lot drier and subdued than Black Mirror.

It's an absurdist comedy, but in a more...I don't know, "pretentious"/intellectual way, I suppose. :idk:
The way they talk (the cadence of their speech, the words they choose, the detached way of speaking, etc.) makes the whole thing insanely hilarious if you're the right audience.

Such a weirdly mixed-up and great cast too. I never thought I'd see John C Reily and Olivia Colman in the same thing.

My wife is on to that. Though, she admitted last night that it's prolly gonna be stupid.

I'm interested to see how What Happened to Monday turns out.

Watched S2 of Mr. Robot in one day.
I still have no idea what actually happened, though. :whoa:

The missus and I have been streaming Being Human (UK), which is proving equally as decent as Shameless (UK) was. I'm also still chipping away at Star Trek: Voyager and wonder how many hairstyle transitions Captain Janeway will experience by the conclusion of the series.

Man I've been watching this at work lately. Over 400 episodes of "gritty" Canadian teen drama. It's so perfectly vapid and enjoyable to kill the time with.

I initially thought it was just a super campy, overtly Canadian "drama" where only good things happen, then Wheels' parents got killed and my investment skyrocketed. If real Canada was as interesting as Degrassi Canada I would complain about it a lot less.
