Diddley Bow...

Post by Rygot »

So I got bored and made another diddley bow, one that isn't a slab of rotting wood from a barn...

And I love it

1 Bass string, 2 Guitar. Its like having a double neck...but in diddley bow form?

Pics tomorrow.

Nice work there. I love the fact that you used a Stewart's Root Beer bottle instead of a real beer bottle. What gauge strings are those, and is that a SD?
Do you like listening to homemade music? Me too. Why don't you try one of mine?

Haha, I have no idea where the stewarts bottle come from, been forever since i've had it.

I'm not sure what the bass gauge is, its the lowest of a blue steel set that was thrown into a ziplock bag if i remember correctly...

The guitar strings are from a not even slinky set.

Nah, no SD. My SDs are on my ibanez, those are 2 jacksons of different kinds. The solid black at the far end is a cvr2 I believe. Does the job.

You've inspired me to take a shot at this, looks like good fun and a way to use up all those guitar spares i've got lying around in a box... really nicely done :thumb:

I've learned that with the help of my handroid, bit and plenty of reverb, I can use this sort of like a ribbon controller on a synth...
