Personally, I've never found any TB hyped pedal to be worth the hype, so I'll have to take your word for it on that one.JonnyAngle wrote:Overhyped: yesjwar wrote:Let it be known that's the most over hyped pedal in TB history.JonnyAngle wrote:Let it be known that the ictineo is a direct clone of the zeibek submarine designer.

I literally see no difference between this pedal any other tone shaper on the market. That's after listening to demos.

What if it's a pedal that YOU hype on TB? What am I supposed to think then?

You are just reacting against the hype. At least be honest about it.jwar wrote:Personally, I've never found any TB hyped pedal to be worth the hype, so I'll have to take your word for it on that one.JonnyAngle wrote:Overhyped: yesjwar wrote:Let it be known that's the most over hyped pedal in TB history.JonnyAngle wrote:Let it be known that the ictineo is a direct clone of the zeibek submarine designer.

I really like the Designer Sub circuit. I had it always on for all of last gig season.

Re: Southampton Ictineo....necessary if?
A month or so ago, I bought a Darkglass Vintage Deluxe. I loved it, played around with it and got some great tones, but ended up returning it after a couple of days because I didn't feel like it justified the expense. After that I looked at some less expensive, but still boutiquey bass preamps and eqs, including the Ictineo, but I ended up talking myself down off that limb as well. For a while I was waffling on whether to get a GEB-7 or to spring for a vintage PQ-3B. Then I bought more fuzz and I was cool.
This is a very impressive collection of Roto Toms. That's 21 Roto Toms in all. That is only $33.00 a Roto Tom.

Really depends on what you are looking for in a bass preamp or if you even need one.

Please refrain from unnecessarily associating me with plebeian behaviour in the future.actualidiot wrote:I'm gonna proceed here with the D.o.S. defense and say that it was a knee-jerk reaction.

IIRC the Submarine was a pretty cool bass-focused tone shaper in an era when your only reasonable alternative was a Sansamp.
But that dude was pretty flaky, no?

Oh, and the most overhyped pedal in TB history should probably be the Tentacle Fuzz?

Fine, from now on I'll only associate you with plebeian behaviour when necessary.D.o.S. wrote:Please refrain from unnecessarily associating me with plebeian behaviour in the future.actualidiot wrote:I'm gonna proceed here with the D.o.S. defense and say that it was a knee-jerk reaction.
