The Digitech Obscura is pretty versatile, has tap tempo, trails and hold. Just another thought.
Or you can do a 616 and an older cheap Digitech like the DFX9, or an Ibanez DE7, maybe an Echo Park.

I'd heard of the Obscura, but never checked it out. The demo videos of it sounds pretty damned cool for making fun noises with an analog character, but still has tap tempo and subdivisions. I will have to heavily consider that.dozicusmaximus wrote:The Digitech Obscura is pretty versatile, has tap tempo, trails and hold. Just another thought.

I have a 616 Dark and the Obscura. I think I prefer the Obsucra... this week
Probably because I already had a Meet Maude when I got the 616. If I didn't have that already it might be a different story. Also this is for your table top setup, so the hold function is pretty useful. Just turn the repeats knob past 3 and to max. When you tap it's just like physically moving the delay time knob.
If you hunt you could have both. But most likely add another 20 to your budget.
You probably already watched but he starts messing with pedals around 4:20

I purchased a Carbon Copy for my analog delay with mod. So just trying to make up my mind between the DD-7, DL-8 and an Echo Park for a stereo digital reverb. Digiverb is in the running too, if I want to come in under budget, but all the others are doable.

Boss DD-7 purchased. I went $10 over my budget, my considering my wife told me last week that she thought I wouldn't even spend this money I had put aside by the end of the year, it's cool. Final lineup is:
Boss CH-1, Boss BF-3, MXR Carbon Copy, Boss DD-7, Boss RV-6.
Spent $390 with tax and shipping on all of it. Now it's just waiting for all of them and the Microbrute to arrive.
