Anything out there besides the EQD Bows that's not too pricey and relatively easy to come by in Europe?

Think I'm gonna stick to my usual plan: Buy a (used) decent clone for the hell of it, keep it if I like it, flip it if I don't.

Not sure how available they are, but the two "modern" takes on treble boosters that I've wanted to try were the ARC Gamut and the Smallsound/Bigsound Sparkle Motion.

That BAE Hot Fuzz looks/sounds rill dope. It's big, but I guess if you're going to have a large pedal, might as well make it look like a Neve
But yep, to echo previous comments, treb boosters have a special kind of magic. Aggressive, and really great for cutting through in a band situation. An EQ would def get you in the ballpark, but it's a different sort of thing.

$225 for a tweaked treble booster though :/

I've had two, recently. A Dirge Rangemaster and a Ghost Effects Hornby Skewes. I've kept the Dirge. Hit skully up. I think he might have one for sale, right now.
edit:
Here's a pretty cool one in BST.

Sparkle Motion is great but not easy to find these days.mathias wrote:Not sure how available they are, but the two "modern" takes on treble boosters that I've wanted to try were the ARC Gamut and the Smallsound/Bigsound Sparkle Motion.
A bit gutted I sold mine? I think I could do something similar myself though given a bit of time, it's a rangemaster with an input cap knob for bass content, bias knob and another thing I forgot. Easy enough to do yourself by adding a few pots to a rangemaster which is a very simple circuit.

Re: Treble booster vs eq pedal?
Update, fwiw:
I just scored a Fairfield Circuitry Accountant. Not particularly on-topic here or anything, it's just that my next gear purchase will now have to wait a while.
Been wanting to put a good compressor on my board ever since I ditched my CS-3 a couple years ago, the accountant's been on my gas list for even longer than that.
Even though it's even less of a treble booster substitute than an eq pedal, a compressor like the accountant does have some boosting capabilities that are worth experimenting with.
