The common upgrade for the DL-4 is the new soft-touch switches. It definitely takes care of the problem with the DL-4's switches breaking and becoming unresponsive over time but for Looping I kind of like the clicking. Especially for the half-time and reverse. I feel when there is the click I can nail the reverse engage more accurately then when the switches are the soft-touch - no click.
Are there any low-profile clicking momentary switches that will work inside the DL-4?
Anyone else LIKE the DL-4 clicking switches?

u could try the low profile DPDT or 3PDT switches, if theres enough headroom underneath for the switch base.
those definitely have a click

i'm sure somebody makes a clicking SPST but soft touch seems much easier to find.

I think the DPDT is the way to go. I may one lying around to make sure it will fit/have clearance for the PCB.

Not all soft switches are equal. Some have a longer throw on the switch and it would screw with my timing. The original stomp switches have a charming feel though, I agree. But short throw upgraded switches allow more accurate operation. You only need single pole normally open switches, even though there are more DPDT available.
