But it's true that once you grind it, you should use it within the week.

Yeah, love coffee. Fortunately the SF bay is an area with a lot of fantastic roasters. My favorite stuff from around here is Verve, Four Barrel, Ritual, Chromatic, Sightglass, etc. French press is my preferred home method because I'm lazy. Got a decent burr grinder to grind it course as fuck and then just make a pot of french press from there. I have an aeropress too, which is neat but a lot of work for one cup. Good for camping. I also have a chemex for pourover but I've only used it once because I don't have a proper gooseneck kettle to do the pourover with yet.

I like coffee. Generally small batch light roasted Kenyan. But I like everything. I worked as a barista in a specialty coffee joint for a while but I'm not picky really. As long as it's tasty.

Love coffee. Usually French Press. Not willing to do the work for a pour over myself...although I admire all baristas who do that sort of thing. If you want to get weird...have them do a two pass pour over.
Usually grind the beans myself. I sometimes put butter, mct oil, coconut oil and/or any combination of 1,2 or all 3. Prefer it black though.

Lately, I've had a strong preference for canned cold brew. It's just so convenient and yummy.
For all intents and purposes I am probably addicted to caffeine. I fortunately keep up with dental hygiene so my teeth don't get jacked.

So which of you coffee nerds are the ones who like that sour shit? So far all the coffee nerds I've met in real life have painstakingly prepared me a cup of hot battery acid that I had to sip on a few times before I "forget" about it.
My first and worst experience with this was at Earthquaker's NAMM booth. they had a fucking guy there (nice guy, to be sure) slowly making cups of coffee all day. Wow, must be good, I thought. NOPE. HOLY FUCK NOPE. It was like someone watered down coffee flavored coffee and then added kool aid concentrate powder. Or maybe like someone made a hot lemonade, forgot the sugar, and added like a half shot of coffee.

related trivia: I do not like IPAs, because they taste like grandma perfume. I'm pretty much kicked out of hipster beverage town.

I like coffees that're tart. High acid. Shit like that. They have more flavor.

African coffees tend to fall into that category. Like the Kenya Adoom mentioned above.

I like coffee from Yemen. Natural. Unwashed. Poorly sorted. Due to the instablility in that region lately they're really difficult to find around though.

My local spot almost had me sign a waiver if I got a heart attack. I ordered for double espressos that day. I used to have Mondays and Tuesdays off so I would just drink coffee and listen to MixMag and Boiler Room "live modular" (lol) all day. Good times.

I've never had vagina with milk and sugar. I may or may not try that at some point.
