yeeeeee, since I'm gonna use amp dirt mostly now, I think Im gonna actually downsize my board. I possibly will go down to just 5 pedals, Even anguish, boss PS2/DM2/RV2 and my H9 all else will be soldddd

I'm in a similar boat, but I think I'm gonna keep my handmade/ILF builder stuff, even if I'm not playing all of it.

I've been on a Pedaltrain nano sized board and the constraints + thinking about each pedal's role has been really interesting. I might go up one size to get both OD and distortion on one board with fuzz, delay, Bitquest and looper pedal, though.

Im going the other direction hahaha Im getting a bigger board slowly and moving into synth pedals and noise boxes. With the HellHawk I can count on it for gain so I dont need OD's really making room for more mod/synth/reverb and delay action!

The best part about the Decolonizer is it can do gainy WITHOUT sounding metal if you want which isn't an option with a typical high gain amp like a Mesa. A couple EQ tweaks and the gain boost can take you from shoegaze to grind and that is tough to do with other amps.

Sounds fun, I tend to play my guitar like a guitar for the most part and my h9 is how I get goofy when I need. I have a bunch of synths and I feel a lot less constrained with them since I don't need to use keys or strings to play them. Although I do think I wont need dirt anymore, I'm keeping my even anguish because percs are rad tho

I wish I could fit everything on a PT nano, maybe I can fit it on a metro 20 tho

Also a percolator pushing a dirty amp or another dirt is a pretty glorious sound. That's a circuit that feels made for stacking.

i might get a mother again if i can flip my lp traditional. that was a good trade at the time as the mother was excessive, now i need it for my failing doom band... wait. nevermind.

i run my hellhawk rather clean and goose the hell out of it with my accountant and fuck for intense parts in my band's songs. haven't ever found a reason to go for that hardass rock/hardcore punk overdrive in years.

as for demos that had those tones, they're all gone. sorry fellas. idk what happened, but the bandcamp page is gone and soundcloud doesn't embed anymore.

Your telling me, I have a bunch of half built CGS serge modules that I need to finish up for my first serge panel. I have been extra lazy about completing the bastards. Not to mention how much I've spent on cool synths. I do think that once you go into it, it becomes just like guitar gear. Almost nigh impossible to not become excessive with the want for new things and to experiment. I got lucky in that my partner watches what I get like a hawk so I keep my offerings slim. Thats neither here nor there though.

Harmonic Percs into my rat has been fucking blissful although it sounded kinda whatever with my HM-2 but thats a beast that usually goes alone for me. I'm really curious to hear how the 50 watt mother will sound with the dirt cranked, hopefully gazy with the perc pushing it.

Oh i bet that 50 watt mother will sound insane!!! Yea Ive been looking into synths and just end up avoiding all of those pages. I can not drop that kind of money on another hobby haha Plus synth gear for guitar has seemed to come a long ways.
