This is definitely more appealing than the Wandre. The red Klimt text and the superfluous gold is tacky, but it actually has a theme. It has a sense of order and a sense of ownership. The person who was responsible demonstrates motivation and an investment of time and effort. Whether you like the outcome or not, this person clearly invested him/herself in the guitar's transformation.

I'm not a big fan of drug art or laziness, so the Wandre doesn't grab me on any level. The Wandre just looks like some dumbass kid, bored and high, broke into someone else's space and vandalized their gear with no regard for the consequences. It has no great ambition or direction, no cultural subtext or real message. There's no sense of pride, no sense of accountability. It's just sloppy scribbles. That glammed up acoustic is certainly tacky and a bit gaudy, but the Wandre looks like a mindlessly brutal psycho-sexual assault on someone else's property.

I agree, I don't see the point on either of those, but I don't like what I call clutter art.. The only builder I like that did the style right was girlband..

Cool beat up Garage Built Firebird Style Guitar. Plays and Sounds Good but obviously needs some love and care, very cool guitar. Needs a minor set up, because there is minor fret buzz and muffling on wild bends,

If I was going to start an ugly-beautiful thread (things so distasteful they're kind of beautiful), then this would go in there. It's a fine line, though, and true U-B stuff is hard to find.
