I'm working on a Sputnik II right now. The work so far is here;

It's going pretty well. First breadboard test tonight has got me right in the wheelhouse.

As for the original Sputnik, I've read that it has it's own merits, and one shouldn't necessarily "dump" it for a Sputnik II. If anyone does have a Sputnik, and wouldn't mind lending it to me for a short time, it would be greatly appreciated. I've asked in the past, but didn't get any volunteers. So be it, but if anyone is willing to contribute to the cause, PM me, and we'll work something out. ANY Spaceman pedal (apart from the Sputnik II, WOW Signal, and Gemini III) is welcome.

Thanks. I'm really diggin'g it. The 2SB172's are just the cat's ass. Just waiting on some parts to come in right now. Going to draw up a vero while I wait. I'll let the Tagboard guys do a "normal sized parts" vero, I think I'll go and upcycle some Farfisa and Yamaha organ parts for this build. Give it some extra mojo factor.
