I think it's a pretty funny show.

The movie also has a lot of funny moments.
Good deals: OsbornKT, Phantasmagorovich, UglyCasanova, DarkAxel, Skip, D.o.S, ColdBrightSunlight, Eivind August, Goroth

The second half of Flash season 2 is replete with nauseating CW-style melodrama and shat writing nearing plot hole territory, but I still can't stop mindlessly binge watching.

Re 30 Rock: I found the show horrible at first, then I tried it again 1 or 2 years later and loved it. Did the show get better or did I need time to get in tune with it?

Probably just got better. :idk:
I'm around season 3 or 4 now, it's slightly better than before. I guess it's just that it's not as pathetic as it was in the first couple of seasons.

Even though I have a lot of issues with it, and I don't really like the show, Shooter has some pretty solid fight scenes, decent music, and it's still a shitload better than the movie version. :snax:

Still, I would've preferred that they actually followed the book/books properly because there's a ton of cool shit that Bob Lee Swagger did in them (there's one book where he gets in a sword fight with some Yakuza motherfucker and it's definitely in my top ten fight scenes ever), especially since most of them are after he turns 60.
:success:

Just watched Masterminds. It was a'ight.

Watched Shimmer Lake, too. I liked it a lot. It wasn't the most original, nor challenging, mystery. But, I still thought it was pretty solid. One of the better Netflix movies.

Rory Scovel's new special is so great. I could do without the intro sketch, but the standup is great.

Binged Glow over the past two days. Wouldn't say it's amazing, but it did make me genuinely laugh more than once and made me genuinely miss the silliness and fun of '80s wrestling.

I was looking at that. Seemed kinda like another OINB, but with more wrestling. :idk:

Also, I'm pumped for Okja!

Hulu...

Wife and I are on a hefty Brooklyn 9-9 binge. Like it a lot more than I thought I would.

It's more "real" than OITNB, less over the top, which is kinda weird to say about a show about wrestling. The pacing is relatively relaxed and both the humor and the drama are generally more organic, vs how hyped up and intense everything tends to be in OITNB.

Started watching GLOW.
The main issue I have with it is how cringey it can be.
Not even the funny cringey, just the usual "who the fuck thought they should do it like this" cringey.

Also, I'm just gonna say, GLOW is totally Maron Season 4.
If it was just set in 2017 there'd be almost no notable difference between the two (sans cats and podcast, of course).

Glow was very solid light fare. Funny, clever, bingeable. Not amazing, but only a few half-hour comedies are.
