Help Fixing E13 VFM

Post by hatshirt »

hello, i'm in need of help fixing an Effector 13 pedal. i recently picked up an E13 VFM that isn't working properly. the footswitch has a loud pop with lots of noise then there is hardly any signal coming through at just about every setting when engaged. the power jack also doesn't work, just battery power. i tried emailing devi ever but no response from her. can anyone here help me fix it? :)

Replace the stomp and the power jack. That ought to fix it. Or send it to me and I'll do it. :)

Is there a loose screw hanging out between the led and toggle?

Lol at the screw thing.

Anyway, with it being Devi and as many of her circuits as I've rehoused, I'd almost guarantee it's the stomp. Those pieces of shit go bad all the time. Just make sure to replace it with a half way decent one.

Again, if you need help, hit me up. I've re-wired a lot of her stuff before. It's super annoying but this one is actually pretty good compared to the ones I've done.

I'd recommend the Alpha 3pdt to replace the blue one. They are a lot more expensive but since we started to use them, we have had way fewer switch repairs. Worth it.

Yea Alpha is great! Lasts a lot longer than other brands for sure. I think I have some laying around here but you're right, they are a bit more expensive. Not as expensive as Fulltone's though. hahaha.

I'm going to go ahead and repair this guy for him, so I'll report back. :)
