It took me a number of years, use of multiple online sales platforms, communication with countless tire kickers, and the inclusion of a power supply in the deal to finally unload a Source Audio Trimod phaser and wireless controller combo (for less than 33% of its original trade value including loss around shipping charges). I've actually opted out of all Reverb sales after the aforementioned miscalculation (derp).
In the past few months, multiple items have seemed to sit longer on Reverb in spite of amassing 7 or more watchers. I suppose things would move faster if I accepted offers, but I'm not really in the mood to dicker back and forth with legions of lowballers who will only offer 64.01% of what an item is worth to circumvent related safeguards. Plus, I'm probably shooting myself in the foot by imposing feedback limits for prospective buyers, though this has seemed to deter scammers for the most part.
My current "stuck" item is a Subdecay Harmonic Antagonizer that I refuse to sell for any less than the current, posted price and hasn't moved in close to 6 months in spite of markdowns and bumping. It may end up being part of my permanent noisemaker collection.

What sort of stuff?rfurtkamp wrote:I couldn't give the Fuzzhugger stuff I got for a third of what I paid for it.
I gave up, it's nice stuff, but I only bought it to help somebody out.
I've had various things that I've had trouble selling, but they're generally things that haven't been big trends. Outdated recording interfaces, etc. I've been trying to sell or trade my Boneshaker for the better part of 2 years, but the $40 blowout has made sure that I'll hang onto it forever, because people can't even seem to sell them for $30. Don't get me wrong, I like it, but it hasn't ever really had a permanent place on my board and I don't really like having pedals floating around that aren't seeing some use.
Good Deal List: bearbeams, pena_55, sonidero, greyscales, ChetMagongalo, xchristophex, Monkey Boy, krautrocker, osbornkt

I've had a boutique 7-string bass on Talkbass for like a year now. That's easily the longest it's ever taken to move something, though it is an extremely niche item. I have had dozens of trade offers for literally everything I explicitly stated I don't want, though. I should probably just put it on Reverb, but I've never sold on there and the whole waiting for money thing puts me off, especially with something that expensive.

Nobody wants the heavy shit anymore. I practically had to give away my old Mesa Diesel 4x10" w/ EVs, and I literally can't give the 1x15" away. I got these 30 lb Accugrooves with neo speakers and now that's all my friends want, too. Same story with 4x12's. Unless it's one of a select few, you're basically stuck with it.
