does the TC HOF oscillate?

Post by alexsga »

I'm trying to reassign my Mooer eleclady+ana echo's noisier capabilities to a single 1590a box - yay or nay on that new pedal being the HOF?

If you want a more aggressive reverb, I don't think you can get that from any of the Chinese minis.

The new HOF2 with the mash function might be able to do oscillations/feedback effects. It can definitely do swells/exp pedal type of stuff.

thanks yeah i dont intend to use the HOF as a traditional reverb - i'd like it ideally to be able to create the noisy resonance that those Chinese boxes can yield (or that a EHX DEM & Boss DM-3 can yield)

That looks/sounds great, despite the shimmer.

Hmm. You're kind of stuck between two worlds I guess.

1) there are certainly resonant verbs designed to self-oscillate, but they're bigger and pricier
2) ...then there's smaller verbs which include unintentional artifacts/metallic textures, but they aren't going to necessarily give you the best oscillations/feedback results

If it wouldn't disrupt your space constraints, I would suggest possibly running a cheap verb into a feedback looper. That might give the desired effect. I dunno, but I'll pop in again, if I see something that's closer to your specs.
