Wanting what doesn't exist

Post by raj007 »

How about that for a summation of the human condition, huh?

I want a "simple" Looper.
I want this Looper to be able to record max 15-20 seconds
I want a reverse function
I want a speed knob
I Don't want it to work like a Ditto...but like a CT5 where you press, hold, record, release and plays back smoothly
I want a momentary switch that can act as a skip/stutter/glitch
I want it in a normal sized enclosure (like a CT5, etc)
That's it.

I want this.

What do you want that doesn't exist?

A Boss Ring Modulator
A pedal sized sampler that plays my dumb 90's industrial noises
My force of habit, I am an insect
I have to confess I'm proud as hell of that fact

Literally nothing. I have everything at my disposal now. That looper you describe? I can do it, yep. The only issue is the size, but it's still not very big.
The most merciful thing in the world, I think, is the inability of the human mind to correlate all its contents.

To this end I'd love to see the Strymon Timeline looper as a module that you use an external controller with. Just jam the circuitboard in an enclosure the size of an Ojai with stereo in/out and MIDI in. Doesn't need any controls on the box since it would be meant for people to use with outboard MIDI controllers.

All this can be done with the Timefactor, but...

Triple parallel delays each at 1/4 note longer than the last. With probability based randomization 1/16 note stutters/mutes... in a pedal.

Or waveset distortion in a pedal

I want my Helix LT to seem remotely as interesting as my pedals, and not a chore.

What do you mean by waveset distortion? Isn't that the Geiger Counter?
