Same. Until I got a huge hard on for isis (the band) and was like, well, Aaron turner uses a way sometimes...
Wha? Did he play a wah in Isis?

Yeah -- he had a snarling dog whine-o-Wah which apparently has a super huge sweep.

I usually hate wah, then I'll hear Dead Meadow and get the rare wah boner. It can be ok. So rarely though.

I've never played a Freeze, though I've always wanted to. Bout to somewhat remedy that with a Raptio, which just seems like the way cooler version.

Yeah Isis and associated acts have made me give a fuck about gear I would otherwise not have bothered with over the years.
And Zozobra's Savage Masters makes me want to run some crazy digital/software interface in my rig. Id never get behind that idea if I hadnt heard that record.
There are only a few types of dirt circuit I haven't messed with now, the Burns Buzzaround being at the top of my list to try next.
I've had synth and filter pedals before, but I've never gone to bitcrushing before. And my ring mod experience is limited at best.
Mostly because I dont think I could do anything cool with them.

I'll be interested to hear what you think -- I love my freeze(s) but am curious about the Raptio. The demos don't really do it for me, but demos usually don't.

I've been eyeing one for a while, but now I'm playing in a band where I think it'd be especially useful, so at least it can be more than a curiosity buy. I'm more interested in the glitch settings for the band, but I'm thinking the freeze will come in handy as well. Will def report back...

I haven't listened to Isis in awhile but I used to wear the fuck out of Celestial, Oceanic and Panopticon and for the life of me, I don't remember hearing a wah sound at all. DL4, RV3, distortion, etc. Yes.

Not saying you are wrong, just that I was fooled cause I used to think of wah as the wanker's pedal. Before I saw Dead Meadow and Goat live that is. Now I have two wanker's pedals which I suppose makes me Dos Wanker.

I feel you on that... from what I've read is that the Snarling Dog had a crazy slow sweep so I doubt that it was used in a traditional Wah sense but it surfaces here and there in photos or whatever. Sadly a bunch of fucking nerds weren't taking 10,000 photos of his pedals with their potato-phones back then.

I don't remember why but I was obsessed with getting a Snarling Dog Mold Spore a few years back. It was before Reverb, I put bids on every ebay auction, thinking I would snag one. Gave up.

But that isn't the Mold Spore, is it? I remember the Mold Spore as yellow, not red.

So modest. If Robert Smith were my Grandma, I'd be dick slappin every Goth Bar from Austin to Barcelona. Live up to your heritage son.
