Re: the ILF hive mind, it seems to me that most things that we all get so stoked on don't work at all for me. I thoroughly enjoy listening to other people's work with them, but the gear that inspires me the most is generally not extremely trendy. For instance, I can't write a song that uses a glitch pedal. It just doesn't work

Looks cool, sounds good to me, albeit not breaking terribly new ground. Seemed to sound a lot like my rat, but that's just basing on the video which we all know isn't really a valid place to draw the sound from.

Re: Old Blood Noise Endeavors Fault OD/Dist
I've got a soft spot in my heart for OBNE - their Black Fountain video and the Coffee & Riffs series helped get me back to a place where I was enjoying playing music, after being burnt out on it for about two years.
That being said, this doesn't move the needle for me, but I think that might be because the Rick was featured so prominently in the mix, and it just sounded thin? I don't know. I don't see it replacing my Mini unless the tech video shows some more interesting sounds.
I guess I could have just quoted the thread to this point, rather than rewording it...

Since nobody posted this:

I'm still curious what it's based on (since everything seems to be based on something

I take it back. No way am I getting this. There are too many awesome dirt pedals on the market now, many more coming, and I am happy with the ones I have (not saying complete...just happy). This seems really tame ergo not warranting the price tag. Bummer.$harkToootth wrote:I collect their pedals so I am not even going to pretend like I'm not getting this. It is inevitable. Just not right now. It is up for order already.

DD, Goroth, Vidret, Brands, Monkeydancer, DoS, Eivind, Worra, DRod and myself (most of the ILFEU'17 crew) have a WhatsApp chat which I think has brought down our general participation on the forums a bit.
