Akai APC40??

Post by Aquietcabin1978 »

Anyone using the APC 40? Have a possible trade lined up locally for a pedal I am not using. Demo vids look cool. Seems like it could be dope. The trade is totally worth it monies wise. Need some positive reinforcement Yo!

MK1 or MK2?

I had a MK1 for a while. I thought it would revolutionize how I used Ableton, but to be honest I used it far less than expected and sold it off. When I perform, I primarily like to play an instrument – even if it's over a backing track – rather than control a computer, and when I work at home I'm fine with just a mouse. It just didn't work for how I make music.

I've seen APC's do great things, which is why I got one in the first place, but you may need to change your workflow dramatically to make it worth. Definitely worth a try!

Yeah I mean if you think hardware based control of ableton is important to you and can improve your workflow then it wouldn't be the worst choice. If you use ableton in a live environment then it would be a great price to have. But at the end of the day it is just a USB based midi control surface for ableton, and probably won't change your world music making wise
