Man I wish they never got back together. Their live shows have been enormously underwhelming and now this album is even more underwhelming.
Whole thing sounds like lazy, overproduced, lacklustre jesus-rock for the cool kids who sat at the back of the church at absolute best; harks back to the time when they made good music and makes you regret even acknowledging the bullshit cash-in revival of Slowdive.
(hyperbole included)

Overproduced is pretty accurate. Seen them a few weeks ago and I was genuinely so sick of reverb'd guitar leads by the end. Just seemed like every tune had Neil going to the twelfth fret for some shimmering lead three quarters of the way through. I get that's the vibe, but I dunno. Bleurgh ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I saw them 2 times a few years ago. Be prepared for a big pile of muddiness if they play in an indoor venue.
First one was in an outdoor stage, that was a solid ~40 min performance =]

Damn, I'll probably be disappointed, especially since my last concert was The Brian Jonestown Massacre which is my favorite band ever and they played 3 hours straight and stopped because they were kinda forced.. It was awesome

And you still listen to them after that?
I think you will enjoy Slowdive, I'm just a grinch with pretty much everything. But seriously I can't stand 1+ hour performances of the same band unless the band is called Boris or Tortoise, which I haven't seen yet =(

I saw them a couple of years ago and out of all the reunited Creation/90s gaze bands they were probably one of the most solid live acts. And Ive seen my fair share over the years, MBV, Lush, Ride, Swervedriver. But I am still holding off listening to the new album.
on thursday i went to Pittsburgh to bring some dear friends home from tour. On the Ohio Turnpike at about 330 am we realized this came out and we immediately broke a 4 hour stream of creepypastas to listen to this record. I thought it was fucking sick. Never really been a huge Slowdive fan to be honest but this record in my opinion slays
I play guitar and modular synthesizer in Juggable Offense.
