Re: Forever ped
What I found useful was to use one algorithm as much as possible to really get acquainted with it. In my last band I had something like 8 different presets I used but they were all the digital delay setting. It's a really deep pedal and I probably use very little of it's full capability seeing as I don't use midi wizardry.Jero wrote:Teach me. Still the delay-daddy after all these years, this will be prized from my cold dead etc. I could wax lyrical about this guy forever, every big box delay that has followed has failed to equal it.

Tone Factor. Or just buy from Japan?popvulture wrote:Side question for this thread:
Are there any consistent US dealers for MASF? Can't find much, and the MASF site is understandably a bit weird. I was reminded I'd really like to pick up a Raptio one of these days...

You know Americans in general are terrified of ordering from abroad
BitQuest is my forever ped, I think. That or the RM-1N.

I'm not terrified, but I have had some shitty luck lately with that.UglyCasanova wrote:You know Americans in general are terrified of ordering from abroad![]()

I get that. I added 'generally' because I see it quite often, both here and elsewhere. We scandies don't really have any other options, so the risk of shit getting lost is so embedded in the idea of getting new gear that I guess we don't even consider the chances.

Re: Forever ped
It's gotta be the CT5 for me as my forever now.
But really the thing I've had the longest on my board is my Mission Dual Expression pedal.
I will never get rid of that and is an amazing utility for linking two other unbeknownst pedals to one another in some way.

I had one of these and really miss it. Probably the worst purge I've done.
Two pedals that I have not gotten tired of and just really, really like using are the Supermoon Chrome and DBA Reverberation Machine.

Think mine has gotta be Memory Man with Hazarai. Still haven't found a delay that does all of its crazy stuff. It was the third pedal I ever got too! Having it Etched by our very own Dropping Acid as we speak, rainbow style!

I can't hold on to anything. Everything sort of just comes and goes. Some stay 24 hours, some 20 years. Nothing is too sacred not to be sold off eventually. I feel ashamed.

Soulless monster!
Nah, man. I wish I could be unattached like that. Instead I'm a sentimental sap with way too much shit.

Of no surprise to goroth or K2000, I am keeping my Ibanez Phase Modulator I had up for sale. I cannot shake the thing! It just sounds so good!

Re: Forever ped
Forever pedal? Does it count if it's not on my board right now. I have had the same big box rat that Skullservant modded like back in 2013? It's one of my longest running pedals after a Boss PS-2 that I've owned for ever and ever. an HM-2 replaced the Rat, but the rat is like my blood and I would never sell it. Especially for what it would sell for anyway.
