Hopefully, OP-1 prices will drop a little, because I'd much rather have that than this.

Hmmmmm. One of the things I liked the most about the OP-1 design wise was the screen. Such great graphics. And things that integrate with iPhones usually drive me insane.

BUT. Of course waiting to hear how it sounds. And it does look pretty fucking cool. More Braun calculator chic.

Low key want this too... I read a few interviews with TE and they are doing what they can to keep prices low, which would explain the BYOS thing. A thing like this or the OP-1 would cost money of course, but they want people to be able to buy them. They are super cool actually. Their end goal is to be a separate department of the government and supply their stuff to kids in school for music and stuff. Thats why they haven't sold stocks in the company

Looks cool as hell! Wonder what the price point will be?

OP-1 prices are ridiculous at the moment. Doesn't help that it has been out of stock at most places for a good part of this year. I need to stop buying pedals and finally get one.

Same here. Which is exactly why I doubt there'll be any price derps. Supply and demand I guess. Everyone and their mothers are watching the used market like a hawk for an OP-1 that costs $100 less than what it goes for now :idk: Which would only happen if they stopped making the OP-1, and started selling OP-2s that are just upgraded versions of the exact same thing :idk:

The marketing term for this: Shit out of luck :(

Hot take: all of Teenage Engineering stuff looks like the original iMacs (in a bad way).

Also what's their beef with capital letters?

It looked pretty intuitive when I saw the dude messing with it live in person. Not very flexible or as deep as the op-1, but it was pretty neat.

I loved the screen on the op-1 though.
