Not to hijack, but an ILF comp, noise or otherwise, would be awesome. TalkBass has done a couple of noise comps that BigChiefBC, Mudfuzz, Nad & I (among others) have contributed to, and they're wicked fun.
I'm more like a mids-ist than a bassist.

I'm too much of a DICK to want to put out anything but Noise unless it's bands I contact personally... but I will consider "Noise Rock" as long as there's actually some NOISE in it... like, an equal-to-greater-than Noise-to-Rock ratio! :thumb:

I'm sure this Southern Noise comp. will be put on the back burner while I wait for submissions that'll never come, so maybe an ILF Noise comp. will come soon. They will be totally ghetto, but whatever... shit's free.

Assuming I do make tapes for a compilation, I may just send a few to Mr. Dalton to include as freebies whenever there are forum contests, but I doubt I could make enough to cover artist copies for EVERYONE... Most of them would probably get sent out to other labels to distribute for free (RRRecords puts lots of freebies in their packages, for instance)... So it's essentially just free advertising for ILF and any serious noise projects involved with the compilation.

That's kind of the idea with ISMOLSICSIWS... It's about entertaining myself while giving free promotion to artists I like. There isn't an emphasis on quantity of "units" or making money... It's just a hobby... Which is why no one should EVER ask me to release their material if they expect anything more, haha.

Oh... duh... that should have been more obvious to me!

I will try to make enough to share copies with folks... if nothing else, I can send audio files to people who I can't get actual tapes to.

yes, I believe I did (Young Black Porn Stars?)

I can use that (after all, it's east TX, right?).

Thank ye.

I've still got a while to wait before I get even close to enough submissions... I wish more motherfuckers in states closer to the Southeast would get in on this! :(
