Re: Recommend me a synth
Hmmm, I'll check out some demos then. I have a feeling the deal won't end up working anyway. He was asking for the rest of my euro, which is significantly more than a the Sub 37. But who knows, maybe he's got some cash to spend tooBartimaeus wrote:+101010111 wrote:Yes. Yes you do. I basically only use modular, but the Sub37 reminded me of the strength of hardware synths. It's a really great sounding, compelling instrument! The paraphonic gives a lot of room to have fun playing melodies over drone notes, or to do stuff in third and fifths.
Edit: Sub 37 sounds pretty awesome in demos. Going for it. Still really doubt this deal will go through, but if it does...

If you want to go Euro get a Atlanis. SH-101 clone in Euro rack form. More options then the 0-coaat for a hundred more.

Atlantis is cool and not knocking it for what it is, but the features and type of synth is totally different from the 0-coast. It still just depends on what you want. I wouldn't say it has more features though. One of the best features on the 101 was the sequencer which is missing.
It's like comparing a minimoog Voyager xl to a music easel...They are just different.
(I love Roland synths, btw. Much more than moogs and stuff. Love Korg too)

Wow that looks really nice, and it sounds good too. They're only 360$ from http://www.atomosynth.net/, but there aren't that many left?

Totally forgot about that synth...I always liked the features and loved the sounds.
I hope they are well though with all the flooding down in Peru. Half my family is Peruvian and they've all been pretty worried. All the best to them.

Microbrute, Volcas or just Animoog iPhone app with a midi keyboard.
I am thinking of one of these based on this thread. Well the iPhone thing wasn't mentioned but maybe that's the level I am at.
