Recorded my first purely modular album

Post by colossus »

I record wayyyyyyy too much material and never release anything, so I decided to spend some time this week curating a few of my favorites and putting something out.

Maybe you'll dig it? :poke:

I love this! The last track is especially great. Now I'm afraid to listen to it again lest I catch the modular bug.

Thanks!

And I recommend you listen to it again to catch that bug. Going modular has really, really, really opened up my world of music making. It can be pricey, sure, but it doesn't have to. This was made with a single 104hp row, probably under $1k.

Sounds super rad! So in the last track, for example... is that all playing simultaneously out of your rack, or did you record multiple tracks? I've always been curious about how much layering you can do with modular. Obv I know it's doable, just not sure to what extent.
