I bought one on the $40 sale, but I'm not sure I even want it. Purely a reflexive action when I saw the price. I wonder if these ones shipping out fixed the part swap mistake johnK caught and wrote about on a thread on the nun's convention Talkbass effects forum.

There wasn't a mistake, he just found a way to make the Depth knob operate in a different way by swapping the caps. The stock configuration is subtle yes, but the modded configuration changes the Depth into another tone control that frankly, on a pedal with a 3-band semi-parametric EQ already onboard, is pretty useless.

Well I personally have been wanting one of these for a while. I'm just poor as fuck so this was the perfect time for me to snag one!

Someone mentioned Sonic Youth tones in another thread. I know it's meant for low tuned instruments but I'm imagining I can get some nasty harsh tones out of it too if I want

Thanks for clearing that up. I seem to remember Johnk saying it was a deviation from the schematic, but truth be told, I don't really remember anything other than his revelation causing a shitstorm on TB. I was just operating on that assumption. Thanks for your input. Now I look much forward to getting mine. When are they shipping out?
