The BE got flipped, too similar to the re20 but not as nice oscillation. I'm gonna try and find a cheap aqua puss or CC, but I'm really fascinated by all the options on the supa puss.

Shame about the Belle. It's been mentioned before, but keep an eye out for a cheap DE7 while you're at it.

i had a SupaPuss for a while, i really liked it. be warned that it has a different quality of sound than the RE-20 and it oscillates a little too easily. with the gain knob anywhere from 11'o clock on you'd have to be very careful with the feedback knob or the oscillations would run out of control

The supa puss costs than a dod ruberneck, does it? Seems to do just as many -of not more- fun tricks as the supa puss :idk:
Yeah I know, the rubberneck can't be bought used yet :/

I'm just talking as many people as I can into ordering a rubberneck, to get as many reviews as possible, and maybe eventually catch one on the flip :excellent:

I went and played with all the Pussies this afternoon and vanilla Aqua Puss was probably best for me, though the Super was really cool if a little too powerful for my needs. Chase mode is...wow. I know ILF is full of people fuxkin with arpeggiators, crazy delays and stuff but it's new territory for me and probably not something I'd find particularly useful. The Echo puss modulation was nice - possibly nicer than the super, I don't remember - but was hard to oscillate nicely.

Also tried Avalanche Run, really cool mixture of options and with an exp I bet it's all kind of fun but, again, too powerful and didn't oscillate consistently enough when knob-twisting.

Fuck, i forgot about chase mode.

Dude, get an overkill delay, use it vanilla and then get sexually explorative about it.
It'll be begging you to do the weird shit in not time.

What's out there that's got a good analog sound, can oscillate/get weird, and has good bypass? I'd like to try a true analog delay like an mxr CC but then, I'd also like to try an echorec. Aqua Puss? I know ILF has a deep love of quality crazy delays, chuck some opinions at me.
It's become cliche but my go-to delay rec is DMM. Yes I read the part about big size bad & always-on preamp also bad.
But >GOOD ANALOG SOUND+CAN OSCILLATE/GET WEIRD is DMM bread & butter.
Try an XO version if you must, get a big box wall wart RI which is true bypass, or hunt an original/corded version modded for TB by Howard Davis, Analogman etc. They're around.
I've been chasing a non-tape echo capable of oscillating without getting chirpy or clicky, and long, gradual decay of repeats at cusp-of-oscillation settings. I've also been chasing a small-form BBD with similar capability...but proper DMM is the only circuit, of the 2 dozen I've tried, approaching the center of that venn diagram.

So at the minute, I'm liking the Supa-Puss and the Caroline Kilobyte, the latter of which I have only just checked out properly (HOW?).
