I just have most of the stuff in said pedals in various old rack effects and oddballs.

I'd add the Roland GR-55 myself - between the vGuitar fake instruments and on the fly per string alternate tunings and the synth engines (which are actually controllable and programmable for the first time in guitar-synth land since the analog days versus generic "this is Piano 2" and you're stuck with it).

It was the only *new* thing to actually change what and how I worked after 20 years of playing.

I cover most of the stuff in that list with the Eventie H9, but I guess not as appealing as those 1-trick pony booteeek peds.

I'm pretty sure the guy who wrote this is on the guitar pedals subreddit, so he knows his pedals pretty well to say the least.

He is, and that's how the typical board of the cool guys in /r/guitarpedals look, + some ONBE and Industrial Electric stuff.
*in my humble opinion and in some pseudo attempt to be impartial and not choose what I'd have - notice no space station!

Anyway, some of you might remember a thread a while ago asking for one hype pedal and one pedal you wanted to own.

Well, I'd already written this and gotten the jitters about whether I was talking out of my arse, so I wanted some reassurance. I think I might still have been talking a bit out of my arse, but hey! Life is short.

Yep, that's a solid listicle. Would have killed for something so brief and useful when I was still Googling 'weirdest pedals evar.'

a couple choices seem weird.

Honestly, I think the cisdman is horrible - and if you've spent anytime with different stutter pedals I think that one would be the absolute bottom of the list (at least he got the Revolver in there).

The only thing I notice on reddit is the fascination with OBNE and Walrus and that everyone posts when they are "finished" with their board. :picard:

I didn't read the list but "my boner"?

Everyone wants it so...I'll gladly oblige.

Jean, Walrus pedals are fucking TERRIBLE dude. LOL! I've owned several of them and could not get rid of them fast enough. The OBNE ones are actually pretty decent. At least their delay is.

I already miss my Revolver, but I had to sell it to pay off debt so I could get more in debt.. God damn it.

For the record, I believe the first use of the word "boner" was in 2008 on this site. Well before my day (two years lol). At least, that's as far as the search engine goes back.

I've used boner for years because we always used to talk about boners here, then it died away and I started talking about it to try and break the PC way the forum was moving. In a way "my boner" is my way of fighting the man, man.

Ct5-awesome pedal (but which version we talking here?????????)
Particle-awewome pedal and own one and have owned like 6
Revolver-one of the most inventive pedals I've played in a long time
Z Vex 'Seek' series-never tried it but sounds tight
Walrus Audio Janus-Meh to the fucking MAX. It's a fuzz and trem with oversized joysticks. I mean...I don't get it. I tried one and it sucked.
Geiger Counter-Sounds like sterile butthole, but I like it a bit. I'd try it again.
Avalanche Run-sounds heavenly but is lacking something somehow.
BitQuest-probably the most inventive pedal I've had in a long time, if not ever.
Fuzz Probe (SP LOL)-not interested but seems cool
Tonal Recall-tried it and would love to own one
Dream Sequence-this is the shit right here. Needs some love to get it to do what you want, but it's fucking amazing.
CSIDMAN-had to look this up. I don't like anything from Catalinbread.
Warped Vinyl-I liked v.1 better than 2. It's a killer pedal.
Generation Loss-Fucking awesome pedal but ultimately it didn't do what I wanted. I feel it would have benefited from expression control.

So basically I've owned or tried almost all of them. lol

I guess the other thing that bothered me about the cidsman was the marketing. CB in NAMM/promo vids was putting it out there like the inspiration of the pedal came from CD skipping when the inspiration obviously came from the many pedals that came out before it (raptio, judder, revolver, etc.)

Shame.
