Post by rfurtkamp »

Happy day!

Now I have to get a DD-500 though. Damn.

Download/instructions on the respective product pages at Roland.

It's ok, the editor isn't doing anything for anyone outside the Roland offices it seems!

DD-500 might fly, all I have is a ES-8.

Still interested in a DD-500 now that they're committing to doing it though.

I've run excessive troubleshooting (multiple MIDI options/cables/interfaces) that connect just fine to other Boss/Roland stuff and non-Roland junk.

Midi-ox troubleshooting is showing it's not even trying to talk out of the editor.

But those same cables can receive bulk dumps and update the firmware lol.

Yeah being able to create/edit patches without the cumbersome menu diving would solve the one annoying aspect of the DD-500. It is a really kick ass pedal.

Yea, I am definitely very, very interested with an editor.

They'd promised one in the pre-leadup to release, and it's why I crossed it off my damn list.

I don't mind menu-diving on units where there's no choice, but in this day and age, to not have one.. is insane.

Welp, time to jump back on the DD-500 train. :!!!:

Also because they go cheaper used than the Nemesis.

Edit: But at the cost of oscillation...

You can definitely make it oscillate. Just put your mind to it.

motherfucker can oscillate in different ways.

Boss made the DD-500 way too complex (complicated for some) and it seems that was a big mistake lol

Any progress in Boss DD-500 patches to approximate grouchy glitches/jacked-up judders/stutter-stitchery/pitch-potch-punditry?

Can the DD-500 be configured to have a rising/lowering frequency-shifted delay like the gamelan bells of the Catalinbread Bicycle delay?

Possible? Imposs? :?:

From what I can tell of the editor (I have the same one, it's used on the other Boss stuff I have and the assigns are typical Roland, but I don't have a DD-500) - if it's a setting with a choice or a number, you can automate it to all sorts of internal LFO/BPM sweeeps.
