nerd knuckle effects
anybody played any of their pedals first hand or owned them? I have been watching them for a while now but can't really find too many demos or reviews about their stuff. I am particularly interested in the 'the martyr box' the most

Re: nerd knuckle effects
i saw this demo, but wanted to know how they play with other pedals too (stacking, overdrives, etc.) or other amps. Didn't know if anyone has actually played any of their stuff in person and has any insight

Martyr Box with bass user here. Amazing pedal for heft and phatness at low gain. Boost function not very useful for my purposes. No low end loss and a very nice overall tone because it was so damn phat and juicy sounding.

Re: nerd knuckle effects
Thanks for the info Bossmann73. I play guitar and other things, but like like having all the lows i can to play with, so it is good to know that it works great on bass. Thanks dunbine for the info about the video EAE posted too, i seemed to have missed it originally. I listened to the demo of the Ill Omen too, but i think that i like the more wooly and thick sound of the martyr box better for what i am looking for (at least from that single point of reference, which is a terrible way to judge anything from a single impression). There seems to be almost nothing about the Baba Yaga too anywhere.

I have a Nerd Knuckle Bene-Fuzz. It's a solid pedal. Well built and sounds awesome. I ordered directly from Brad off his Facebook page. Good communication.

Re: nerd knuckle effects
the bene-fuzz looks cool too. I am curious if both the bene-fuzz and the martyr box have a decent amount of note definition with chords etc. or if they are more suited for single note playing. What type of amp do you usually use dugwolf with your bene-fuzz and do you ever stack it with anything?

Re: nerd knuckle effects
Bene-Fuzz is an upgraded IC Muff. I think it sounds great with chords, but maybe not the best option if you really want clear note definition. The contour knob is for mids. I'd say it's focused on the low mids. I use an Orange TH30 and a Mesa Mark II. With the Orange at high volumes it can get kinda muddy. Sounds killer with the Mark II though. It's going to sound best with an amp with a lot of clean headroom. Works well with a boost. I use my Mini in front. Never tried the Martyr.

Re: nerd knuckle effects
thanks for the insight about the Bene-Fuzz dugwolf, i use a really clean tube amp (Ibanez TSA30) so that is why i wanted to know
