I totally agree with all of the whys in response to this pedal, but it's kind of pointless. Strymon is decidedly MOR. They're probably never going to release anything even remotely edgy. :idk:

Agreed with everything in this thread. This thing is just boring. Why not using digital to your advantage and get wild. Lame.

Also, yeah, kinda want an Ottobit.

Good point.

You have to wonder if they're just filling out their product line-up. A lot of people fill their board with mostly Strymon. I bet in a couple of years, a lot of church dads building their first board are just going to order all Strymon, unaware of other options.

You are not alone.

And I'm not afraid of digital dirt, but...as a utility device, to cover some bases ala amp modeling - but...not a $300 standalone that doesn't even have deep options.

My pedalboard costs approximately 191 Metal Zones.

I'm pretty much in this camp too. Not opposed to digital dirt if it sounds good and feels nice to play. But I feel like it should be digital for a better reason than "hey we are really into programming right now".

The el cap does certainly not sound like shit though? That's an objective falsehood

I think all Strymon's sound like sterile butt.

This thread made me want the Meris pedals more though.
