Analogman Dark Peppermint
Anyone else here a user of the Dark Peppermint fuzz? I know they are discontinued but I am constantly impressed by this pedal. It edges on just the right amount of highs for me, so I think the regular peppermint would end up being too bright for my tastes. Great texture to the fuzz as well as the gate/fuzz interaction. Kind of surprised more don't use it but I'm coming from TGP where it seems it's a Fuzz Face, Tonebender, and Muff crowd.

We are absolutely more of a muff crowd around here, but welcome! Analogman is probably a bit more TGP oriented, but personally some of those fuzzes of his look really cool, I tried a sunfacce once in store and it sounded great

Welcome! I think a lot of AM's stuff is more TGP (stuff like the Sun Face, dweebing over which dot your NKT-275 has, etc
), but some of his pedals definitely straddle the line a little more. Thinking of stuff like the Astro Tone and definitely the Peppermint.
I have the normal Peppermint, and love it. Really awesome fuzz, trashier/weirder. I especially love playing it at dialed back settings—I get pretty different results on that via rolling down the volume knob on my guitar or turning down the actual fuzz on the pedal. Haven't owned the dark, but I've played it and really enjoyed it.

I've only tried the regular version and it reminded me of a cross between a fuzz face and a Wem Pep Box. Pretty good. Didn't seem excessively bright to me, just a shade more than a germ fuzz face from what I remember.

I've always thought the Dark Peppermint demos I've heard sound great. Always wanted one.
There've been a few on Reverb lately. I keep missing 'em because, as usual, I've got no money.
I don't think they made a whole lot of 'em because they ran out of the transistors or something.
