Which of these would you go for, if you wanted to be able to cover as much ground as possible, and didn't give two shits about subtlemildtransparant toanz?

TAFM
Baby Thundaa
Frazz Dazzler V2

I'm fairly happy with my current selection (Clusterfuzz + Harmonic Percolator clone), but GAS is making me move everything over to the big board again So I'm allowing myself an extra dirt pedal, eventually an Avalanche Run, and *maybe* one of those brand new DOD delays
Also plan to put my FZ-2 and maybe fabtobe on the new board again.

The new one should be as different as possible from the stuff I mensioned (Buzzz vs FZ-2, Frazz Dazzler vs Clusterfuzz,...?). Aiming for menacing but still useable. Extra points for small footprint and/or topjacks. Feel free to suggest something else, but I already don't know where to start with all the nice sounding clips out there and the ridiculous GAS I'm dealing with Cheers.

This is my exact problem. So much stuff I maybe don't need, but I really WANT. Fender Blender, Buzzz, beebaa, TAFM, ECT, Frazz, pretty years etc etc etc. I'm pretty happy with my dirt as it is but I just want all of it. I can't really help you though, I haven't played a percolator or a clusterfuzz so idk what complements them well. Buzzz does cover a lot of ground though

Just to narrow it down a bit more, to make it a little less hard...I'm cutting the bigger ones and the most expensive one of the list. So I guess that just leaves the Baby Thundaa and and Frazz Dazzler

Getting the most out of a limited amount of pedals is usually my way of somewhat controling my GAS. I don't *have* to buy everyt cool pedlol out there, I just focus on finding a handful of peds that nail every type tone I like the most. Which is usually pretty challenging, and takes a lot of flipping, cause I rarely get the chance of trying a pedal out beforehand, let alone on my own rig

I've thought about just replacing the FZ-2 with the Buzzz, but my FZ-2 is sort of a set and forget pedal, which is the main reason I'm having serious doubts the Buzz is for me. It might kill my GAS for a while, but spending good money on a fancy boutique pedlol that'll end up being used just to mimmick a Boss FZ-2...Seems to make less sense than sticking to the FZ-2 and buying something different, like de Frazz. Too bad it's still way too new to find used though :/

You should get a Metal Zone. No, for real, given the viewpoints you usually argue and what I've heard of the Metulzoans capabilities, I'm pretty sure you'd dig it.

I know the baby thundaa is muff based, but the last demos I heard didn't sound all that muff-like to me at all, or at least the pedal's capable of going beyond the standard muff sound. But you're ofcourse right, the muff pedrigree is what gave me doubts about the Baby Thundaa from the start.

I'm a Boss fan, I don't look down on those metal zones at all, wouldn't mind trying one someday. But it seems to be in the same ballpark as my dano fabtone, no?

The Zoom UF-1's main appeal used to be the bang for the buck factor imo. It's been a bit overhyped the last decade or so, apparantly it now goes for hardly less than what the closest dwarfcraft or fuzzhugger alternative would cost me used, which are ofcourse a bit superior in terms of build quality, customer service, etc...

Been gassing for a Scarab Deluxe and Fuzz Mutant for the longest time actually...

Still haven't ruled them out, but I'm pretty sure my Clusterfuzz covers most -if not all- shades of tonebender style fuzz tones I need/want, and more.

I really dig both of them a lot and they're different enough that it's totally worth having both. Someone with more circuit knowledge can probably explain this or debunk it, but the frazz sounds like it does similar things as a TAFM, if that helps you narrow it down.

Actually, yeah...Let's hear it from people who know what the deal is with the Dazzler's pedigree. I'm always curious about what ballpark the circuit of a boutique pedal is in.

The Frazz is not based on any existing fuzzes. Low gain mode has a single gain stage and no gating, high gain mode has four gain stages and is gated. There is a clean blend. It uses silicon transistors and also has a fuzzed out IC. Low gain cleans up well, high gain is massively saturated.
