Mantic Axiom (At The Drive-In)

Has this been discussed yet? Can't deny I'm curious, but even though I've been a bit of of an ATDI fun boy since day one, this whole thing feels a bit too gimmicky to me. Their marketing guys are getting their merchandise ideas from Disney these days it seems :idk:

ooof. those graphics!

i'm not opposed to signature pedals, necessarily (Death By Audio has done some cool ones, and of course the MASF WATA FUZZ), but that is hard to look at.

I love ATDI. Very important figureheads of the El Paso music scene (depending who you ask) but this reunion :idk: this new aesthetic

Also when I think ATDI I don't think reverb.

Love this band, this seems weird. Shoulda been a one-knob treble boost/drive or a delay with lotsa repeats and short delay times.
The most merciful thing in the world, I think, is the inability of the human mind to correlate all its contents.

Yeah, I guess the only reason it's a reverb and not somesort of dirt pedal, is that when the time this deal came together, the Mantic dudes were about the launch their new reverb pedal, and just made good use of this ATDI merchandise package...:idk:

Whoever's behind this idea, they damn well know that their target demographic is now in their mid30s and not as broke anymore as they were back when ATDI was still fucking relevant :poke:
