Have you been running VM sequences into the glitch inputs? I'm pretty sure those are the Bounds inputs, and you get the ol "paradox" wave from the RED outputs when the lower Bound's voltage is higher than the upper Bound voltage

I know that feel, they got in touch with me this past monday saying they just sent out the missing toggles and correct value resistors. I figure it would only take 2-3 days at most, but they still havn't been delivered...
Meng QI let me know 5.1K are the correct value, if they sent you the wrong value maybe you can source some local cheaper?

Yep, but the glitch ins/outs don't seem to do too much with the vm, I think they need Voltage's that are constantly in flux rather than sudden static changes. Either that or the voltage isn't strong enough
Might have to make myself a format jumbler for those red outputs.

Yeah that makes sense with the positive offset the Tetrax has too...instead of centered around zero with a +/- 5V signal, the Tetrax signal hovers around 4.5V so its more like 0-9V....the VM is probably putting out 0-5V so probably more dramatic results into the main pitch/chaos? I love using the Pressure Points tuned voltages into the Bound inputs on the IFM Fourses, I can just dial any of the Fourses 4 oscillators right into paradox territory...sounds so great plus makes for an awesome modulation source.

oh man, now i've been dying to try putting static voltages into the Tetra GREEN to see how that goes. with the IFM Fources all four oscillators Bounds are between -8 V on the bottom oscillator's lower Bound, up to +8V on the top oscillator upper Bound. Then the two middle oscillators Bounds are being set by whatever the oscillator directly above/below are doing..so all four are bouncing of off and influenced by whatever anything else is doing. BUT, if you insert voltages into the Bottom/Upper Bounds for an oscillator you basically remove it from influence of the other oscillators...so in this way you can turn Fources into Four independent VCO/LFO. I'm pretty sure the Sidrax/Tetrax aren't oriented the same way though, with the Chaos knob having some effect on opening a vca controlling how the four oscillators are intermodulating one another...although I don't really understand that relationship, have found patching a lower GREEN from one oscillator into the upper GREEN on another oscillator 2 over gets into interesting chaos sounds.chrisdermo wrote: Nice I'll give that a try. Oh yeah, I found there are bipolar CV signals on the plumbutter, so i've been feeling its safe to experiment with most signals from the modular into the CL, definitely patching IFM CV into CL was problem free.....think the only rule is NEVER patch the BROWN rollz into the modular, just use their ORANGE rollz output. Peter never got back to me but I read where he suggested it was fine to patch between formats with his instruments, just watch out for "fishy" voltages...

the Double Knot is gonna be way more fun than I expected, gonna be busy experimenting with the Ciat instruments to see how everyone gets along. tonight it's been Tetrax clocking and crossmodulating with the Double Knot
Oh hey chrisdermo, you can clock the Double Knot with the RED, BLUE or ORANGE outputs of Tetrax!!! Use a jumbler to convert from nanan to 3.5mm. Then you can use the Double Knot's REG and INV clock outputs for each sequencer!
No clips but this has kept me up all night.

that reminds me, I think it was an early version of the cocoquantus where the press/release of a couple barres were sample/hold function. god I love ciat

P.s. I like that these demos are in stereo, I think the two channel nature of the CL stuff, and now the double knot, is a massively important step forward in musical instruments. We've had stereo listening set ups for how many decades now? It kinda baffles me that beyond the usual 'spread' and stereo reverb effects there are still so few electronic instruments that allow let alone encourage completely separate sound generation in each channel.
