Anything like a Gen Loss that I can actually get?

Post by Antlerface »

I'm looking for a sample reduction/signal degradation thing I think?

I really like the way the E&A tape+ and Gen Loss make everything sound all fucked up. The Warped Vinyl MK1 on Lofi mode can kinda do it, but I really wanna put my Drone Thing through the AARP and process it with the (insert suggestion here), and play with the Warped Vinyl on my guitar.

What would you guys suggest? Anyone wanna sell me a Tape+ or Generation Loss?

I think tteej just announced he's working on a batch of 100 Gen Losses, might be more attainable soon.

Haha he must've gotten a barrage of emails after that last "no more for a while" run.

I'm not familiar with anything you have mentioned but sample reduction/signal degradation is something that Timefactor can do in Vintage mode, set bits to whatever you want from 0 to 16.

I don't know if bit crush is really the thing I want. More like a tape eating itself or something. I would love a Mold Spore or Wilson Mycelliium for a bit crusher though...

Hotone has been issuing "psycho press" bitcrusher lofi wah thing for three years now with nothing on the shelves yet.

I had an El Cap, and now I'm rockin' an Echo Degrader. The Mooer Lofi/Zvex Lofi are some I should probably check out. Thanks for reminding me that those existed!!

Man, I'd totally buy a standalone pedal with Destroyer, same as Quadrature.

Same. I'm tryin to avoid the Mobius because I just pumped the fuck up outta my mod section. I guess I could sell a few things, cop a Mobius, and call it a day. Pretty sure that if got a Mobius I'd ONLY use the Destroyer patch though. It would be like 15 presets. I used one once, that setting is the cats pajamas.

Orrr someone could sell me an E&A Tape+ and a Gen Loss and I'd pay too much for both and throw in some drugs or something.

Yeah Teej is definitely doing a new run, there was a post in the Shark Tank about it this morning. Or you could spend $350 for one on Reverb :|: I use mine all the time or I'd sell it to you while waiting for the new run.
Not a Tape+ but I'm getting a Moomindrone+ tomorrow and I am super psyched on it :yay:

solo tunes:
completed works || loosey goosey releases
associated acts:
Raab Zamboni (fake jazz/real noise//sax, modular synth, editing, misc) || Field Guide (my best friends//sax on 2 tracks)

I make t-shirts, patches, koozies, buttons, CDs, sometimes tapes, and eventually i'll start working on pedals again. DM me for pricing!

I'd really love to get a first run V2 Genloss so I could put the internal switch on a footswitch and do rad shit with the glitch delay without opening up my pedal.

I pretty much just use the quadrature and destroyer in mine. It's worth it for me for just those two. The pattern trem, phaser and autoswell are pretty good too

.Having presets and expression control over any knob is a sweet bonus. Also midi controller has a global tap tempo that syncs the mobius, timeline and h9 so I can put different subdivisions on each pedal and sync (i.e. have a phaser sweep go slowly up and down and exactly over 8 delay repeats)
