I also feel like he's describing a Jazzmaster with what he wants. In particular: an American Vintage 65. Awesome guitars with nice, full necks.
This course, a perpetual alternation of determining what is true, and then setting aside this determining, constitutes, strictly speaking, the steady everyday life and activity of perpetual consciousness, a consciousness which fancies itself to be moving in the realm of truth.

They seems interesting. Will need to find a store that have them here in Canada.
I will do a guitar hunt this summer during my vacation.

The Rivolta seems great too.

Hey! Yes I speak french. Cool to see a new guy from Montréal!! Bienvenue sur ILF!!!

Yep Fano are cool... especially the standard series for the price.
But as you know no shop carry them around here and import fees are so high.

Anyway I'm taking a break from my search until this summer.

Yep I saw this one... but it's way too distressed.
Fano will have a new model in March... they call it the JM6 Standard NOS (new old stock) they won't be distressed.

But the only real Fano dealer in Canada is Electric Mojo and the owner told me they mont have Fano anymore.

I found what I want... What I really want is a Novo... they look so cool. But I'd have to import one. So it's a no go (canadian dollar suck too much).

Looks awesome ! Yeah it does suck I bought a brand new PGW phantom 6. Cost me $1550 CAD and it's because I'm lucky enough to have a girlfriend with a house in Florida so I skipped shipping and custom fees.

Those Novos are so cool. It's Dennis Fano's new brand, yeah? And also pretty expensive from what I recall. I bet they're awesome though. That neck joint is wild.

I like everything about them... they are perfect. :thumb:
But for all those reason, I won't get one.

Dennis Fano also have another design now, the Rivolta Combinata which will be less expensive because they are built by Eastwood (a little bit scary too).
But from that demo they seems to sound very trebelly. They will be avalaible from Eastwood dealer.

I was also a humbuicker hater. I have grown to like certain Humbuckers. If you play with fuzz, they need to be reasonably low output to sound good. My favorite Humbucker is a custom wound Buddha Alnico IV humbucker. It was cheap (around $60, maybe). Lowish output nice and full, good EQ. It doesn't have as much sparkle as most low-output humbuckers, but it's thick, has plenty of highs, and sounds great both clean and with distortion. Its basic sound (to me, is a smoother version of a Pete Townshend/ Malcolm Young kinda thing. Tonerider A4 Classics, Dimarzio PAF Masters have similar specs, although I haven't tried them.

Here's a quick video I put together on a phone mic to show the guy who made it. No effects, dark sounding amp, bad playing. It entirely lacks that weirdness in the mids that makes me usually hate humbuckers.

I also think you'd be happy with P-90s, actually.
