Mastery really is the best. Returns to pitch the best of anything I've tried. And rings like a bell. Very flexible and easy to intonate and set up as well.

I built one on an MJT body I found on the cheap. Mastery bridge, novak WRHB's for JM, and a musikraft neck. It's a little heavy, but I love it.

Buying pieces now to match the EGC neck I impulse ordered.
Haven't had humbuckers in a guitar since I was a kid.

This is what I am currently thinking about doing with my impulse ordered EGC neck. Different heal than the image above, and some scales may be a bit off, but you get the idea.

I asked a local luthier/builder if he would be interested in doing the build for me on a body he'd finish. He reply of: "I'm not interested" determined he was a rat dick.

I spec'd out a reverse Strat from Warmoth. Then I get a little bug about maybe a different shape. Then I'm back to putting it on my Jazzmaster. In the end I think I really want it on the Jazzmaster.

Pretty sure if I order a master bridge I'll be totally committed to that plan.

Seconded. WAY worth it. Not only does it get rid of shitty bridge issues, but it'll genuinely make your guitar sound better. I've been nothing but impressed.

I haven't tried a Mastery on a Bass VI, but I did upgrade my CIJ VI with a Staytrem and it improved the tone, setup and tuning stability quite a bit.

Also, there seems to be some concern from people that a Mastery won't intonate properly on a VI because the saddles need more travel. The Staytrem is made with a wider baseplate for this reason, affording greater travel for the saddles.
