Resonance

Your guitar does hang off your body, but the object that is the link between you and your guitar is often neglected in consideration when it comes to how your wood resonates. Yes, the guitar's wood itself is important to how it hums and growls, but varying on the type of strap, such as leather or nylon, the guitar would have some differences in how it resonates as it hangs off your body. A nylon strap seems to give off less of a "breathability" to the guitar, whereas a very natural leather strap seems to let the guitar "sing" a little more. However, between some blind tests between myself and some other TGP members, leather straps that had metal buckles seem to have a "tinnier" quality to them. It was agreed that metal buckles added subtle unwanted changes to the tone.

Oh wow!

TGP kind of scares me to be honest.

I'm also sceptical of any forum that bands discussion of religion/politics yet has like a million threads about what to get for a praise and worship band. It seems to be that they're protecting one side a lot more than the other.

Heh, there's another forum I'm on, Giant in the Playground, that completely bans religion and politics, including topics such as global warming, a lot of history, activist music, et cetera. It's the best forum I've ever been on, (I still love ILF) but it's freaking annoying. :thumb:

Man, within like 3 minutes of reading that forum, I feel myself getting both angry and bored at the same time. It's a weird feeling.

A demotivative masterpiece, if you ask me.

I concur. Pretty much anything related to the Big Lebowski is a winner.
