I agree 100%. You can't do much better for what, 40 bucks? I'm currently building a double 250 on vero with diode switching ala the Grey Channel from tagboardeffects. Should be done in the next couple days, hopefully it will be awesome. I'm gonna name it after an Unsane song (not sure which one yet) as Chris Spencer is my favorite abuser of that circuit.

The 250 or the OCD are definitely my favorite variants. The regular D+ was one of my first pedals and it's such a rad overdrive. It helps bass cut through a mix in a way nothing else seems to.

The DOD250 reissue is a no-brainer for $40. Sounds REALLY good. I liked the gray channel a lot too, but just sold mine. Really flexible, and i like the no-diode option quite a bit (and the fact that its available on both channels makes it super flexible).

I built one from scratch with germanium diodes and a larger input capacitor (.03uF, i think) and it sounds great. I tried a bunch of other common mods on a breadboard, but stuck with this.

The Big Game Pedals Bedlam Drive III I just got from Chank is based on the OCD.
It sounds pretty rad, but I think it really shines going into another drive (ex: my Fuck OD) or as a dirty boost into a just barely dirty amp.

I use my D+ as a distortion. :idk: One which was ultimately replaced by my Acapulco Gold.

the d+ is a solid dirt pedal but doesn't offer much more than that lol. i went from a d+, to ocd, to a fuck/mini.

I've still got a Bedlam Drive V1 and a V2 and stack 'em (separately) into other dirt. Not as much control as the III, but they work for me.

I should also mention that Univalve turned me on the :!!!: of a Dizzy Tone into a Distortion+ and it's a great sound.

So, the stacking goes both ways. :D :snax:

No diodes on the Gray Channel is indeed supreme. Can also back the greatness into cooking amps.

Yeah, the Ross is germanium too. They're all related, not the exact same.
