The Mantic Density Hulk is probably better.

Although I can't remember what it was exactly, I watched a comparison video and settled on the Meatbox...so, I disagree somehow

I second this,it's fantastic. Also serves really well as a crunchy lowmid gain od for guitar sonic Youth tones.

I thought this was a high gain distortion.
I'll have to listen to some démos.

Any good high gain distortion would make a decent low end booster, no? :idk:

I was gonna suggest trying an eq, but the first reply already beat me to it. Other than that, I'm sure all the pedals mensioned are ligit options. No experiences with the meatbox what so ever, but I've been curious about its low end boosting capabilities myself.

Another one, a low/medium gain overdrive that I parted with cause iI found it TOO bassy at high gain settings: Hotcake. Sounded killer on bass geetar though.

I would definitely recommend a Meatbox if you're just looking for lows. With the octave all the way down you can use it to get a huge low end boost. I use it for this exclusively on my Bass VI.

You could even boost the lows and cut the subs if you wanted to reel back the really deep frequencies.

The Boneshaker covers a lot of ground, and it does it very well.

Maybe a EQD Bows ? by definition it's a treble booster but on ''full'' mode it could work out. ''In "Full" mode, the Bows adds a beefy low-end push without getting flabby''
