EHX Canyon Delay/Looper

Post by Faldoe »

I think it sounds pretty good, and the Tap In is a good feature which so many small delays like this lack. Though Boss seems to know whats up with this. Also the secondary control features is awesome. Has EHX ever done that before? Taking a cue from the Strymon El Cap.

pretty impressive, but then Bill Ruppert never fails to sound amazing. The DMM in a tiny box would be cool enough but all the other settings, especially the multi tap and SH stuff was legit too.

How much?

Haven't been this excited for a new pedal since the CT5 I've never bought.

Got to admit that sounded badass.

I'm pretty sure this has been the new pedal I'm looking for. Looks like 2017 may be a cheap year for pedals....a Canyon and a Ghost Warmjet V. I've needed a second hassle free looper for so long. Also S/H and the shifted delays- although that may have been the weakest sound he demoed. I wonder where base level reverse tracking is in 2017.

Sounds good, and has a nice balance between relative simplicity and tweakability, with a good range of basic delay sounds. A sensible choice that is unlikely to inflame the sniffocracy. I like it for a swiss army knife to squeeze in next to the one trick heart throb.

Think they're aiming at the TC Flashback?

Does the looper have a pause before it starts recording like the 720 does?

That is a lot of nice features inside a small package!
If only the looper had the controls of the SMMH I would be all over this.

yup, nailed it. Though I wonder if the current looper has any control - and secondary controls. Same with the S/H preset. If you can tweak it, it would also make a nice stutter pedal as well.

I'll definitely be buying it.

And yes to what people said about Rupport - he makes all EHX sound great - but I think this is a good pedal regardless of his usual stellar demos.

Edit*** if they did make a deluxe version with presets and a looper that could be used with the delays like the SMMH it would be awesome. Like a new or different take on the SMMH.
