I was bored the other day while driving and in between stoplights I was using the Animoog app on my iphone. Just held three notes for a drone as I keep tweeking at various stops I didn't realize till that moment that the app offers 4 independent modulation sources that can be used to control various things.
As I tweaked I got a few layers of wavering modulation going on - filter, I think the X or Y access of whatever that thing is in the App and I really liked the movement of it while also being kind of basic and minimal with just the three notes being held.
I'm kind of tired of trying to layer lots of different sounds and sync them up and I realized what I might want are synths that can do what the Animoog app was doing. I don't know if I need or want multiple voices but a few synths that could drone over each other and have a few different modulation things going on to give movement would be pleasing.
I have a Novation K Station. That has two LFOs and I like that one which is a keeper.
What other cheap synths are out there that offer multiple modulation sources? Like $300 or so.
Doesn't need to be analog. Needs to have knobs for tweaking and not tons of menu diving.
Synths with multiple mod sources (is that what I want?)

Re: Synths with multiple mod sources (is that what I want?)
The Blofeld and the Novation Nova engine synths (Ultra, Mini, Super) all have lots of mod sources/destinations and are in that price range. The problem with having an extensive mod matrix is that you can't really get away from menu diving.
