I donate monthly, but would happily chip in more for a board upgrade. As others have mentioned though, no idea what the complexity or cost of doing that sort of thing is.

I think I'd mainly just like notifications. I'm less interested in being able to like posts (I mean, that's fine, but could kinda take it or leave it), more in something like a ping when someone quotes you. Sometimes I'll realize someone responded to something I said and I totally missed it. Just would help for stayin' on top of convos.

I'm pretty sure Tom went over it the last time. The whole site would need a rebuild from what I understand and we'd have to switch to a different hosting server. That means you're paying a much higher cost per month for the site. I'm sure his fear is that people will bail and he'll get stuck with the bill. Tom as has said numerous times that he does not want to make it a pay site like Talkbass, which I admire. He's a man of integrity and just wants us all to have fun.

ILF is a great place despite it's flaws here and there. I love it though. I honestly could care less if it ever got upgraded. If it did, I just want more emoji s to annoy the shit out of people with. That and I'd love a different color scheme. Both of them bother my eyes.

The button at the bottom of the page (that says switch to full style) doesn't work?

Mine says "Switch to mobile style" even though i'm on the mobile layout already. Clicking it brings me to the mobile layout and the button says "switch to full style" but keeps me in the mobile layout. I must have changed my default to the mobile layout at some point from my phone and now I'm just stuck in it.
