Pedalboard options? ie, pedaltrain alternatives...?

Srry if we've done this a million times already, the search fucntion wasn't really helping me

Now that I'm again REALLY happy about my little arsenal of effects, I figured it's time to NOT be stinchy about what I'm placing them on. The diy gettho particle board pedalboards I've been using will have to make room for something that weighs less and it is easier to wire everything up.

I don't have ANY particular requirements, other than that I want the new board to fit one of the two cases I already have, and I want to spend as little as possible

So I'm basicly after a list of pedaltrain - style boards, so I can browse through everything untill I found a board that's close enough to the inner dimensions of my case.

It'll also need room underneath for a power supply. I've got a stash of velcro, so no need for any revolutionary fancy attatching systems or anything...

I got a Palmer Pedalbay, same size as the PT3, but they do all the sizes of the old Pedaltrain models.
But they're way cheaper.

Overlooked that one, cheers! Their "40" model could replace my current small board, it's a little smaller, but should fit nicely inside the case

Keep em coming though, does'nt hurt to have a couple more options

Therés also the Warwick Rockboards that are quite similar to the pedaltrains, and less expensive (Pedaltrains are super expensive here forcexample). I got a small-ish one (50cm by 18), it seems nice sonfar.

Mono just started making boards. Then there's temple boards. I've seen some pretty inexpensive flight type cases on eBay that are ones where you just take the lid off and there's the board ready to go. Always wanted to try one of those myself.

I actually have a flight case type board now. Take the lid off, power it up, plug in my guitar and amp, and I'm good to go.
It's a flight case "type" thing, not an actual heavy duty flight case. The wood's not as thick, and the locks and hinges aren't as durable, etc. It's still solid enough for me though, it's not like I'm constantly doing long tours or whatever. It was dirt cheap, and it's a little easier to haul around than a heavy ass 'real' flight case

It's too big though, I'm keeping things lean and mean these days, just 6 to 8 pedals. So I'd prefer to get something to put in the super secksy case I've got. There's a diy board in it now, but it's a pita to wire up, cause it's not like a pedaltrain, where the cables easily go underneath

I would definitely check out Palmer pedalboards, because they're like Pedaltrains, but with the option to adjust the crossbars. I almost wish I had ordered one of those, instead of my Pedaltrain Classic Pro. I definitely like the Pedaltrain style and the ability to wrap cables underneath, but the spacing of the bars can be a little frustrating and limiting,

If spending as little as possible is a concern, the new Mono stuff isn't cheap.

It's more expensive than the PT stuff, and comes with no case or board....so you can't even flip the case/board after the fact for some cash, so it's just more expensive period.

Check. Thanks. Dito on temple actually, though to a lesser extent. Not that they're not worth it, or than I'm returning to my stinchy ways or whatever. They do look really nice. Just maybe nicer than what I need, regardless of my budget

I'd just flip the case after buying a PT if you don't need it honestly.

There's always somebody wanting one of the road cases since PT doesn't sell 'em seperately.

I'm actually leaning towards the Palmer option. Or even more towards its cheaper chinese copy

My last PT2 purchase was $65 including the bag.

Someone had even artistically covered most of the pedaltrain logo with black electrical tape, so it reads "PAIN" now.

I would have paid extra for that!
